How Gymnastics Forza Was Born
My name is Martin. I'm a Coach, a Gymnast, and the Founder of Gymnastics Forza.
Since I was a kid, gymnastics has been a huge part of my life. I trained for years, and later, I started coaching others. I was strong on most apparatuses but the rings were different.
No matter how much I trained, I couldn’t gain real strength on the rings. I tried all the usual progressions, but they were never precise. I was constantly pushing to my max without control. And instead of getting stronger, I was burning out. Sometimes I even got weaker than before.
Back in 2015 This was me, trying to build ring strength with no real structure.
What Changed Everything
That’s when I realized something. If I wanted to build real ring strength, I had to treat it like true strength training. That meant applying progressive overload gradually increasing the load over time, like you would in the gym with weights.
But with bodyweight, it’s not so easy. You can’t just add plates. So I created a solution.
The Ring System Was Born Out of Necessity.
It’s a tool that lets you reduce your bodyweight with precision. You can adjust the difficulty, track your progress, and control the intensity of every session. It finally gave structure to my training.
How a Real Plan Changed Everything
Once I followed a real plan, everything changed.
I wasn’t just testing skills anymore I was building the strength behind them.
And that’s when I started to see my strength explode.

BUILDING ELITE STRENGTH
I didn’t stop there. I kept training hard, applying what I had learned just like in powerlifting. I began using strength programs similar to bench press cycles and adapted them to Gymnastics Forza system. My main focus was the Maltese Press, which I believe is the key movement for building overall ring strength. It transfers power to all other skills.
Below you will see a clip of the Maltese Press the movement I focused on the most during this phase. I built my strength around it using a structured strength program, and it became the foundation for everything else.
After years of consistent training, this is the current result.

VANGELDER ATTEMPT – MY LIFELONG DREAM
The VanGelder is named after one of the greatest and strongest gymnasts in the world. It’s an elite-level ring move, known for its incredible difficulty and the extreme strength required to perform it. Only a few gymnasts worldwide have ever managed to complete it successfully.
Since I started training, this move has always been my dream. I’ve spent years pushing myself to reach it—focusing my strength training and dedicating countless sessions to this goal.
This clip shows how close I’ve come. I’m still working to perfect it, but the dream is alive and I’m not stopping.
CURRENT LEVEL
From Transformation to Legacy
After seeing the transformation in myself, I started using the system with my athletes. The results were the same: consistent strength gains, less frustration, and faster progress. That’s when I knew I had to share it.
Gymnastics Forza started with the Ring System but it didn’t stop there.
As a coach, I kept seeing the same problems. Athletes needed better tools to train skills like the Iron Cross, the Flare, or the Backflip. So I built them one by one. Each product was created to solve a real need I experienced myself.
Everything I sell has been tested on me first. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t get released. Because I know what it’s like to chase progress and feel stuck.
Gymnastics Forza isn’t just a brand. It’s a system built from real experience.
